FAQ
Common questions about Gearflow Parts
How do my mechanics request parts with Gearflow?
Mechanics text, call or email Gearflow from the job site, with photos if they have them. Gearflow turns the message into a parts request with the machine, job and part details, and sends it to your parts team. No app download is needed in the field.
Does Gearflow work with the dealers and vendors we already use?
Yes. You send requests to your current dealers and vendors and get their quotes back in Gearflow. You keep your existing vendor relationships and pricing.
How does Gearflow help us find the right part number?
Gearflow's part lookup matches a part description to part numbers, and shows the parts history for each machine. Your team can see what was ordered for that unit before, so it orders the right part the first time.
Can Gearflow check our own inventory before we buy?
Yes. When a request comes in, Gearflow checks whether the part is already in stock, using inventory you keep in Gearflow or inventory synced from the systems you already use. You use what you have before you buy more.
What if our usual vendors can't get the part?
Gearflow can source the part from its supplier network beyond your usual vendors, and you compare the quotes side by side in one place.
